The ballroom was built in 1911 for the 21st birthday party of the owner’s daughter.
It has retained its original splendour, from the massive fireplace topped with the family’s coat of arms to the oak panelled walls and the hand carved gargoyles in the vaulted ceilings.
It seats up to 150 for a splendid sit down meal. We provide 5ft round tables and red banqueting chairs. Adorned with flowers and candles, there is arguably no finer place to celebrate a wedding, special occasion or corporate get-together. A sense of history emanates from the stone walls and it is easy to imagine that this room has always been dedicated to gatherings of true significance.
Standing proud above the ballroom is a minstrels’ gallery, accessed by two atmospheric stone staircases, which wind their way upwards past large stone windows.
